already have one but are not satisfied with how things are

learning to master my new trade, I am still working for a small
number of clients as a personal webmaster.

you. I am a private individual with 10 years experience including
numerous commercial sites. I can work with CSS, CGI, Java,
Javascripts, PHP, and MySql. I am not a graphics designer
but can create or manipulate simple graphics. For advanced,
customized graphics you will need to hire a graphics artist
separately.
I work with a small number of clients
and provide FAST and PERSONALIZED service. I do
not take on more work than I can handle and do not farm
out assignments to others. When you need something done,
whether a simple change or major overhaul I can usually
do it within 24-48 hours. I also work WITH you to
build your site as you want it (many webmasters take payment
up front, design the entire site and present it to the
client .. it may not be what he/she had in mind!)

What will it cost?
As a general guide:
Nearly all my clients websites cost under $600 to build, the majority
under $400.00.
Normally, $50.00 to $75.00 for the first page, $25 to $40 for subsequent
pages depending on complexity.
Installing CGI scripts: $10 to $150
Installing Shopping Carts: $25 to $100, addition of
items to cart may be extra, usually $2-5 per item.
Forms: $20 to $50 depending on complexity. Very long
ones will be priced on request.
(Charges are based on $40.00 per hour when working on web pages, $70.00
per hour when working on scripts)
Other costs: $10 per year to
register and administer your domain name (you will still
own the domain name)
Webhosting: I work with GoDaddy which
has emerged as the leader in offering affordable and
reliable webhosting. However for a truly professional site
with all options, I recommend Host4Profit webhosting service.

I recommend my

is the most comprehensive I have found to take you from
zero to advanced web design. This is one of the oldest
html tutorial sites on the Net, started by a University
professor who knows how to teach others. For html software,
I recommend Dreamweaver by Macromedia. I also recommend
you avoid MS Frontpage like the plague :-)) Just
